A new website dedicated to advantage play (AP) in Las Vegas from a personal perspective

This website will be constantly evolving over the rest of 2023 and beyond, but that doesn't mean there won't be any content. For now, let's get started with some excellent sources of AP information:

Las Vegas Advisor

Las Vegas Advisor was created 40-ish years ago by Blackjack Hall of Famer Anthony Curtis. It is the one-stop shop for the best information about Las Vegas, not just AP, but also dining and entertainment, deals and discounts. The monthly newsletter is now all-digital and comes with a Member Rewards Book that is worth well more in savings and gambling bonuses than the 1-year subscription cost of $50. It's hands-down the best $50 I spend every year, and if you're going to be spending any appreciable time in Las Vegas, a subscription is an absolute must-have.

vpFREE2

Video poker has been a go-to for advantage players since its inception in the 1980s. A game's return is completely calculable based on its pay table. Video poker that has a return of over 100% is an advantage for the player, provided you play the game with optimal strategy, and yes, casinos still do offer these games. vpFREE2 keeps an informal inventory of all the video poker in Las Vegas and the rest of North America, making it much easier to find what you want to play. Oh, if you're new to video poker, vpFREE2 has you covered. It will teach you the basics, and it has a comprehensive glossary for you to learn the lingo and give you a thorough understanding of the game. It's a great entry point for the new advantage player.

Wizard of Odds and Wizard of Vegas

These companion sites are brought to you by Michael "Wizard of Odds" Shackleford, the world's foremost mathematical authority on all things gambling. Wizard of Odds offers thorough analyses of myriad casino games and online casino offerings. The website also features strategies, calculators, and hand evaluators for many games. While Wizard of Odds is strictly about the games and their mathematics, Wizard of Vegas is location-based, offering surveys of Las Vegas casinos for various games, including blackjack and craps, and information about hotels and shows in a similar vein to Las Vegas Advisor. The best thing about Wizard of Vegas, though, is the community forum, where users talk Vegas and gambling in general.
